Essential Oils on the Inside By Karen Balistreri
Do you have any idea how many essential oils you are inadvertently taking into your body?
Do you brush your teeth, chew gum or suck on breath mints?
Do you drink Earl Grey tea? Have you ever used Vick’s Vapor Rub?
These most likely are not the quality of Young Living but are a good example of how we are ingesting essential oils every day!
Well, here goes, a brief description of my day. At 6.a.m., I arise and brush my teeth with THIEVES Dentrarome Plus tooth paste and swish my mouth with some THIEVES mouth wash. I know there is no sugar, synthetic chemicals or colors, sodium fluoride, or sodium lauryl sulfate in this tooth paste to compromise the uptake of iodine in my thyroid. Do you know that stuff is toxic. I have a friend from childhood who used to eat tooth paste and today she has a very compromised thyroid system. Check out the poison label on all commercial tooth paste, it even goes so far as to tell children not to use more than a pea size on their tooth brush. My safe dental products contain the essential oils of cinnamon, clove, eucalyptus radiata, lemon, rosemary and thyme. This is powerful immune support and did you know that cinnamon is a great oil for hypoglycemia, blood sugar problems, and candida. (Having had candida as a health crisis, I know my blood sugar requires vigilance).
After exercising, I proceed to shower and wash my hair with my favorite Lavender shampoo which contains: Lavender, Jasmine, Clary Sage, and Lemon essential oils, extracts of rosemary, fennel, sage, and nettles, grapeseed extract, Vitamins A,C,E, and B-5, niacin, inositol etc. This is a great way to get my pro-vitamins into my scalp. While this shampoo is left on my scalp to penetrate, I proceed to wash with my Lemon/Sandalwood soap. The lemon helps promote leukocyte formation and helps brighten a pale, dull complexion by removing the dead skin cells. The Sandalwood oil helps strengthen the lymphatic system and revitalizes the skin . I now rinse everything off feeling refreshed.
I build my water bottle for the day with 2 droppers of Mineral Essence and one oz. of NingXia Red infusion. Mineral Essence contains over 60 trace minerals blended with Royal Jelly and the essential oils of Cinnamon Bark, a powerful purifier and oxygenator, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral. Peppermint oil aids the digestion and stimulates my brain, and the lemon oil promotes leukocyte formation and helps dissolve cholesterol and fats. These two droppers of Mineral Essence contain 125% of daily magnesium requirement, 10% potassium, plus all the trace minerals that may not be obtainable from the food chain grown on over fertilized, thus chemical laden land. I find this water is greatly energizing and invigorating.
And now for the 2 Omega Blue capsules I take containing the oils of lemongrass, myrrh, clove and German chamomile along with a pure fish oil that is free of heavy metal (mercury and lead), PCB and dioxin free.
Did you know that our dietary intake of omega-3 oils has fallen 80% in the last 80 years. More and more of our diets are filled with omega-6 oils, especially the chemically altered “partially hydrogenated,” deadly trans fats.
WHY ARE OMEGA-3s SO IMPORTANT?
The benefits listed from taking omega oils are simply spectacular. Omega-3 oils have been scientifically shown to:
· Reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s disease and senility.
· Reduce the risk of coronary heart disease including an 81% reduced risk for sudden death in undiagnosed heart disease.
· Ease the pain of rheumatoid arthritis.
· Reduce adult hypertension and prevent high blood pressure in children.
· Reduce symptoms of Crohn’s and inflammatory bowel diseases.
· Improved brain health, they also lessen the effects of depression, bipolar disorder and ADHD.
· Prevent insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome.
Whether I take a scoop of Balance Complete or a Wolfberry Bar, I am taking in valuable nutrition and the essential oils internally once again. I like the blood sugar balancing effects I feel with these high-protein vitamin rich meal replacements containing a large spectrum of vitamins, trace minerals and amino acids.
As we age, we have fewer enzymes and this is one cause of aging and digestive disturbance. I choose to supplement my protein meals with 2 Essentialzymes to insure proper enzyme balance. Besides the betaine, pancrelipase, pancreatin, bromelain, and trypsin, I am also digesting essential oils of tarragon to reduce flatulence and sluggish digestion. Anise will help calm and strengthen the digestion system, fennel helps to break up fluids and toxins, peppermint for its soothing effects and lastly clove oil, which is anti-infectious, anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-parasitic. Essentialzyme leaves me with a happy gut and many natural antioxidants. I have just given my body an “essential edge” by supplying it with essential nutrients and natural antioxidants for today’s stressful and polluted world. All this before I use one essential oil externally like the Joy or Harmony I choose to wear as perfume, or EndoFlex blend for stimulating my endrocrine system and mind.
For 12 years, I have been educating people on the essential oils and their benefits, but now, I feel compelled to show others how to attain great health with healthy essential oil products.
These are products I have been using for years, but rarely have a chance to share in a class setting.
Let’s share these fine healthy products with others.
